Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Execute and improve the end-to-end sourcing processes including vendor management, price negotiation, product development and sample assessment to meet the on-time delivery and quality
  • Support our offices in Asia Pacific region on each stage of sourcing inclusive developments.
  • Collaborative vendor relationship with existing vendors to ensure they meet all company’s requirements including value, quality and innovation.
  • Provide support to streamline sourcing process, enhancement of product specification for price negotiation, cost reduction initiatives and high quality of products.
  • Ensure that developments are allocated in line with Global sourcing strategy for each product categories.
  • Responsible to meet internal and external needs and requirements: cost, lead time, service, quality standards (in particular:  GB standard for China market).
  • Proactively communicate with different Sales Regions to understand customers’ needs and requirements
  • Understand the product ranges, price ranges, production capability, production capacity and quality performance of different suppliers to make the right allocation plans.
  • Strong fabrics and embellishments developments, understanding on cost structure, good negotiation skills, in order to achieve best FOBs and margins.
  • Assist in other duties and Ad Hoc projects when needed.

Requirements

  • Degree/Associate Degree/Diploma holder in Merchandising/ Business Management or related discipline
  • Hands-on computer knowledge in MS word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point & Chinese Word Processing
  • Familiar with PLM and SAP system is an advantage
  • Minimum 8 years’ relevant working experience preferably in sizable buying office
  • Energetic, self-motivated, detail-oriented and independent working style
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, well-organized, self-initiative and positive mindset.
  • Eager to work in a team in order to achieve best results
  • Demonstrate a high sense of initiative, hardworking and responsible
  • The ability to work in a demanding but collegial, team-oriented environment
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Mandarin
  • Solid sourcing experience preferably gained from US buying office/ retailer
  • Business trip is required
