Business Risk Manager – Private Wealth Management (PRC Bank)

Responsibilities
  • Assist the business head to implement all compliance related policies and procedures in the department as first line of defense
  • Act as the main contact between compliance and business units and be responsible for all compliance related matters, including internal control functions
  • Review policies & procedures, risk assessment materials and to analyze the compliance risks in new businesses / products / systems
  • Conduct AML and compliance related review / monitoring to identify possible compliance risks and provide recommendations to enhance control weaknesses / mitigate non-compliance risks
  • Review KYC profiles and account opening applications
  • Perform self-assessment, gap analysis against internal or regulatory requirements
  • Prepare regular and management reports on compliance related review results
  • Handle internal / external review or auditing issues
  • Provide risk and control training within the Private Wealth Management department and support to Product Managers and Relationship Managers
Requirements
  • Degree holder in Risk Management, Business, Finance or related disciplines preferred
  • Associate AML Professional (AAMLP) of HKIB preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in operational risk management or regulatory compliance areas in a financial institution and preferably in supervisory position; those with less experience will be considered as well
  • Familiar with the AML / KYC and regulatory requirements relevant to private wealth management functions
  • Able to work independently on various projects and meet tight deadlines
  • Self-initiative and a strong team player
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in Putonghua, English and Cantonese
