Global Sourcing Manager – Procurement (Resident stationed Shenzhen)

Roles & Responsibilities

Category Strategy Development and Execution

Develop and implement procurement strategy for the assigned categories across regions and markets with the aim of keeping up cost competitiveness, high quality, ESG compliance and service levels.

Develop and maintain category-specific policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.

Drive cost savings and value creations indicatives, strong sense to create sustainable saving pipeline, govern the saving tracker within the category.

Keep up-to-date with market trends, industry best practices, and emerging technologies in the Textiles categories.

Develop and maintain category-specific metrics and KPIs to tack performance and identify improvement opportunities.

Sourcing, RFx and Contracting

Review and analyze category spend cube in a timely manner to identify business needs and value creation opportunities.

Initiate sourcing and RFx (RFQ, RFP, Negotiation etc.) events to achieve a desirable outcome while balancing cost competitiveness, quality, and services.

Negotiate contract (e.g. manufacturing agreement) with suppliers.

Measure raw material market trends and commodity indics where applicable.Facilitate make-or-buy analysis and drive the lowest total cost solution at a strategic level with guidance for procurement execution.

Supplier Relationship Management

Lead supplier sourcing and development and set up performance metrics in collaboration with the operations team against a robust Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) program, going beyond reactive issue resolution into on-going joint collaboration and operational improvement programs.

Manage the supplier pool dynamically to optimize supply costs.

Coordinate critical supplier issues, such as quality complaints, and drive root cause analysis and corrective action.

Required Experience/Skills/Education

Bachelor’s degree Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years in procurement or category management, preferably in the Textiles industry.

Demonstrated experience in sourcing, RFx processes (RFQ, RFP, negotiation), and supplier contracting.

Familiarity with raw material market trends and commodity indices.

Strong understanding of cost competitiveness, quality assurance, ESG compliance, and service levels.

Ability to drive cost savings and create sustainable saving pipelines.

Proficiency in market analysis, keeping informed about trends and emerging technologies.

Strong analytical skills to review and analyze category spend data effectively.

Strong leadership skills to manage supplier performance metrics and collaboration programs.

Competence in developing metrics and KPIs to track performance.

Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese

Immediate availability is preferred.

Candidates with less experience will be considered for the Assistant Sourcing Manager, Procurement position.
