Roles:
- Leading the overall management, strategic planning, and development of the Private Banking Department.
- Possess solid Private Banking experience with a strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements
- Holding either RO or EO licences is preferred
- Relevant regulatory or compliance experience should be given priority.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the General Manager in leading the overall management, strategic planning, and development of the Private Banking Department.
- Drive business growth, profitability, operational efficiency, and service excellence in alignment with the Bank’s objectives.
- Oversee Private Banking, Investment, Securities, Insurance, and Wealth Management businesses, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and HKMA governance standards.
- Provide management oversight of private banking risk management, including suitability controls, AML/CFT, regulatory compliance, and operational risk matters.
- Serve as a key liaison with regulators, auditors, and internal control functions on matters relating to private banking activities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and business partners to support business growth and strategic initiatives.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned by Senior Management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 15 years’ banking experience, including substantial exposure to Private Banking and Wealth Management, with at least 8 years in a senior management capacity.
- Holder of an Insurance Responsible Officer (RO) license is required and Securities Executive Officer (EO) license is preferred.
- Certified Private Wealth Professional (CPWP) certification is preferred
- Strong knowledge of Private Banking, Investment Advisory & Securities, Insurance, and wealth management products and services.
- Solid experience in risk Management, regulatory compliance, governance oversight, and suitability controls within a private banking environment.
- Sound understanding of Hong Kong banking regulations, SFC requirements, insurance regulations, and AML/CFT standards.
- Proven leadership, stakeholder management, business development, and people management capabilities.
- Proficiency in Mandarin., Cantonese, and English.
