About the Role
Our client is looking for a sharp, execution-oriented VP/Director of Operations to oversee day-to-day operational functions across our asset management platform. You will work cross-functionally to ensure seamless fund life-cycle operations management and support rapid business growth.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and execute day-to-day fund operational activities spanning investment operations, cash management, reconciliation, valuation and NAV oversight, reporting, and investor servicing.
- Establish and maintain a robust operational framework — including policies, controls, and standard operating procedures — to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
- Implement sound operational risk management practices, encompassing ongoing monitoring, review mechanisms, and a well-structured internal controls environment.
- Drive process optimization and operational scalability through standardizing workflows and effective cross-functional coordination.
- Lead the firm-wide digital transformation of operations, including the implementation and continuous enhancement of internal and external systems and data governance frameworks.
- Manage third-party relationships with custodians, fund administrators, and other operational service providers.
- Partner closely with internal teams and business stakeholders to deliver seamless operational support aligned with the firm’s growth objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline; holders of relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CPA, FRM) are preferred.
- Over 10 years of progressive experience in asset management operations, investment operations, or financial services.
- Strong command of end-to-end fund lifecycle operations, including fund setup, trade settlement, fund accounting, reconciliation, regulatory reporting, and client reporting.
- Demonstrated track record in operational framework design, process improvement, and internal control implementation.
- Proven experience leading digital transformation initiatives, system implementation and enhancement projects, and data governance programs within an asset management context.
- Hands-on proficiency with industry-standard OMS/PMS platforms.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
